Chloe's birthday July 4th

Well, Chloe turned 7 years old this 4th of July. I can't believe how fast time flies by!!! Chloe had a wonderful birthday. We celebrated at my sister's house with a few friends. We had a BBQ, the kids all had cupcakes, we lit fireworks and watch the firework show from Sugarhouse Park. It's nice that Sharley is so close. We can sit in her front yard and watch the show and avoid the crowds. Thanks Sharley and Jason for hosting such a fun party every year. The kids in the pics are Chloe, Ben, Stella, Ruby and Jackson. Chloe is still planning her birthday party and hopefully we will get it together soon. We never celebrate right around her actual birthday because so many people are traveling that time of year. She doesn't seem to mind though. I think she actually likes that her birthday is drawn out. :) Happy Birthday, Chloe!! I love you!!

The Park

These pics were taken at George Washington Park between Emigration Canyon and Park City. We just love this park. It's quiet and secluded. We went to have a BBQ while the kids played. They chased chipmunks, played on the playground, picked sunflowers. Ben had his electric scooter which he thinks is the best thing ever. It was a fun night.

I have been really horrible about keeping up with our blog. I apologize. Anyhow, here a few pictures of Ben and Chloe at the creek in Sugarhouse Park. They love this place. Ben likes to skip stones and build dams. Chloe likes to play in the water and follow Ben around and give him orders. Thank goodness he's such a patient big brother. She is really lucky!!

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter, everyone!!! Hope your day was enjoyable as ours was. These pictures were taken yesterday of the kids enjoying the trampoline. It was a beautiful day here. My sister and brother-in-law and my neices, Stella and Ruby, came over to have dinner. As you can see the girls are the best of friends...sometimes more like sisters the way they can argue but they love each other dearly.
Ben is absent from the trampoline pictures because he was "too cool" to come outside and play with the rest of us. Ben is now offically a tween. He cracks me up.
Anyhow, Happy Easter!!!
Lots of love,
Jen

Pinewood Derby

Ben had the Pinewood Derby with his Cub Scouts on Tuesday. He had to take a block of wood, carve it and make his car. He was super excited to race that night. However, he lost all his races as you can see above. His is the white car in last place. Ben was very disappointed with his placing. I had to explain to him that it is not always winning something, whether it be a race, a game, etc that matters. It has to do with trying his hardest and having a good time. He made his car and it turned out wonderfully and he did have a good time even though he placed last. So, that is what counts. He tried his best (which you can't ask for more than that) and had such a fun time with all his friends. Plus, when he built his car he built it to scale and stayed within all the rules. Which is more than I can say for most of the cars on the track. We thought they would be inspected, weighed in, etc. So, in my book, Ben is a winner!! Go Ben!!!

Our trip to California

Well, I did it...I finally started a blog. So, this is where you will be able to check out Ben and Chloe and the family.

Our latest adventure was a trip to California. We went to Disneyland and Laguna Beach. We had a total blast!! The weather was perfect...it made me miss living in So Cal for sure. We all decided we miss the ocean. The kids could go to Disneyland over and over again. Two days was plenty of visiting for Disneyland for quite a while, at least for myself.

Anyhow, enjoy the pictures and I'll try to post things often so you can all watch Ben and Chloe "grow their wings".
Peace,Jen
